words of power

In this branch of the school, we are exploring the transpersonal sides of shaking, as spiritual practice and practical way of consciousness expansion.

Words of power, mantras, or types of sadhana that we implement in the Somatic Shaking Method to expand consciousness in various ways. You can explore the instructions for use below and you can also select a mantra based on our school.

List of mantras We Practice in Somatic Shaking Academy.

How To Use Them With Shaking

Working with mantras does not mean forcing the mind into a single point, but rather focusing your attention to create a portal through which the qualities you chant manifest through you.

  1. Choose your mantra or word of power and meditate on the potential you wish to embody.

  2. Begin Somatic Shaking in its voluntary form, moving primarily from the knees and the sacrum.

  3. Recite the mantra on every exhale and feel its vibration in your body.

  4. Remain perfectly still, in total silence and contemplation.

How Many Times?

This is quite subjective and depends on several aspects, as well as your true goals regarding spiritual realization.

01 | Rapid Connection (Daily Routine)

  • 3 times: Fast and efficient, right when you get out of bed or before an important action.

  • 11, 27 or 54 times: Perfect for a quick morning routine, especially if the mantra is short and you are short on time.

02 | Core Discipline (With a Mala)

  • 1 Mala (108 times): 54 x 2 = 108. The golden rule in meditation. It takes about 5–10 minutes and forms the foundation of any serious practice.

  • 3 or 5 Malas: When you want to go deeper, or when you have a free day and want to calm down completely.

03 | Deep Commitment (Advanced Goals)

  • 1,008 times (10 Malas): This is pure discipline, practiced daily.

  • 10,000 to 100,000 (1 Lakh) repetitions: Major spiritual projects. You don’t do this in a single day; instead, you set a goal to reach it within 27 or 54 days to “bind” the energy of that mantra to you.

04 | Total Dissolution (Becoming)

  • Millions of repetitions: Tradition states that you repeat the mantra 100,000 (1 Lakh) times for every syllable it contains.

  • Ajapa Japa: When you stop counting altogether. The mantra runs effortlessly on its own in the background of your mind, synced with your breath, all day long.
